Agility Trains Ltd, a consortium comprising Hitachi Ltd and John Laing, today welcomed Secretary of State for Transport, Patrick McLoughlin’s confirmation of a £1.2 bn follow-on order for more state-of-the-art trains for the East Coast Main Line as part of the Intercity Express Programme (IEP).
John Laing, the specialist investor and manager of infrastructure assets, has completed the purchase of a 14.4MW wind farm to be constructed near Kettering in Northamptonshire. The asset was acquired from First Renewable, who will remain responsible for the delivery of the project through to operational completion. On completion, the asset will be held by John Laing as part of its renewable energy portfolio.
