Croydon Council Urban Regeneration Vehicle (CCURV) has signed a building contract with Wates Construction to deliver the Waddon Leisure and Social Housing scheme. CCURV is a 25 year joint venture between John Laing and Croydon Council.

John Laing Plc, as one of the equity providers in the SA Health Partnership consortium, which includes Leighton Contractors, Macquarie Capital Group, Hansen Yuncken and Spotless, has been appointed preferred bidder on the New Royal Adelaide Hospital project by the Government of South Australia. Financial Close is scheduled for 2011.

The A-Lanes A15 consortium, a joint venture between John Laing, Ballast Nedam, Strabag and Strukton has reached financial close on the public-private partnership (PPP) project A15 Maasvlakte – Vaanplein (MaVa). The project involves the widening of the existing motorway, and the construction of a new Botlek bridge. The project has a nominal value of approximately €1.5 billion, in which the consortium will be responsible for the design, construction, financing and maintenance.

An intention to float announcement has been released today by the newly formed John Laing Infrastructure Fund (JLIF), which is seeking to raise up to £270 million. After meeting issue costs, JLIF will use the proceeds of the issue to purchase interests in a number of mature infrastructure assets.

The Denver Transit Partners (DTP) consortium has today reached financial close on the Denver Eagle P3 Project in the United States. John Laing has a 45% interest in DTP, alongside Uberior, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lloyds Banking Group, which also has a 45% interest. The balance is held by Fluor. Macquarie is acting as financial advisor to the consortium.

John Laing and Croydon Council have reached financial close on the first phase of their joint venture regeneration partnership CCURV; delivering a new public service delivery hub designed to provide accommodation for Croydon Council and other public service providers. The building will provide 250,000 sq feet of floor space and is due for completion in spring 2013.
