Group Management

Jamie is the Acting CEO and Chief Financial Officer of John Laing. He was most recently CFO of U+I Group plc, a leading regeneration business listed in the UK and acquired by the FTSE 100 company Land Securities. Jamie previously held global roles as CFO of Round Hill Capital, a private equity real estate firm, and as Head of Group Operations at private equity firm Coller Capital. Earlier in his career, Jamie held CFO, Finance Director, and Financial Controller roles at CBRE and DTZ, having begun his career at KPMG. Jamie is a Chartered Accountant and Fellow of the ICAEW.

James Abbott is the General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer of John Laing. He is a member of John Laing Group’s management team, with responsibility for Legal, Company Secretariat and Risk. James was previously General Counsel of Park Square Capital LLP and before that of AnaCap Financial Partners. Prior to this, James was Senior Counsel at Deutsche Bank, having begun his career at Linklaters in London and Hong Kong.

Anthony is Co-Head of PPP & Projects, and is based in the US.
Anthony has 20 years’ experience in infrastructure investment in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific. Anthony joined John Laing in 2005 and has worked in London and Sydney, where he led John Laing’s entry into the Australia PPP market prior to relocating to the US in 2014. Prior to joining John Laing, Anthony qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant and gained eight years’ experience with KPMG and Grant Thornton. Anthony is on the board of The Association for the Improvement of American Infrastructure.

Justin is Co-Head of PPP & Projects, and is based in Australia. Justin joined John Laing in 2011 when the Group first established an investment team in the region.
Justin is an infrastructure development professional with over 20 years’ experience in infrastructure investment. Prior to joining John Laing, Justin held senior positions with ABN AMRO, Babcock & Brown and KPMG Corporate Finance focussed on the infrastructure sector. Justin graduated with Bachelor of Commerce (Hons in Finance) from the University of Melbourne in 1995.
